Supporting our community

As well as sitting on external investment committees for a number of not-for-profits, every year we select a new community organisation to support – by a process of staff nomination. Over the years we have made positive contributions to a variety of organisations that are important to us, including: John Fawcett Foundation, Scope, UNHCR, Monash Health Foundation, Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, Berry Street, headspace, FightMND and Pancare Foundation.

2022: Go Foundation

Go FoundationFounded by Adam Goodes, Michael O’Loughlin and their good mate, James Gallichan, the GO Foundation started its journey in the NSW town of Dareton (near Mildura). With around a third of the town’s 600 or so residents of Indigenous or Torres Strait Islander heritage, Dareton was GO’s initial foray into community work.

For three years, GO participated in various community programmes in Dareton, including presentations on healthy lifestyle, and vocational training for Indigenous students. GO also donated sports uniforms and equipment to local schools and $20,000 worth of playground equipment and fencing for the local community centre.

In 2014, the GO Foundation refined its focus to education, believing that education is the key to creating a brighter future for Indigenous Australians. GO Foundation’s scholarship program provides access, opportunity and wrap around support for Indigenous students to ensure their journey through school is as rich and rewarding as possible. GO provides scholarships from primary school to university, in public and independent schools, to students who live with family, in community and on country. https://www.gofoundation.org.au/
