Stephen Hiscock has had a long, illustrious career in investment management – spanning 28 years. Before establishing SG Hiscock & Company back in 2001 and assuming his current role as Chairman and Managing Director, Stephen held the positions of General Manager, Chief Investment Officer and Chairman of Asset Allocation Committee at National Asset Management Limited (NAM). Prior to this, Stephen was Head of Australian Equities and Head of Direct Property at NAM and spent over 10 years at HSBC in Equities and Listed Property Trusts. Stephen was appointed Director of DMP in April 2019.

Michael Bartlett continues to contribute to the SGH strategy as a non-executive Director. Prior to this, Michael was a Director and Head of Institutional Sales at SG Hiscock for 8 years, Michael has worked in the investment business for more than 30 years and held positions of Executive Director, Head of Sales at K2 Asset Management; Executive Director and Head of Institutional Equity Sales at Morgan Stanley Singapore and Morgan Stanley Hong Kong.

Grant Berry joined SG Hiscock & Company back in 2002 as one of the founding principals. He is a Director and Portfolio Manager of AREITS. Grant has over 25 years’ experience, having previously worked at National Asset Management (NAM), Victorian Funds Management and Knight Frank. In his time, Grant has also been President of the Victorian Division of the Australian Property Institute.

Callum Burns has 28 years’ experience in the investment industry and has held a number of notable positions throughout his career. Prior to joining ICE Investors and SGH, Callum was the Head of Global Asset Allocation at BT Financial Group – managing $8 billion in funds. Before this, Callum held the same position at Rothschild Australia managing funds of $4 billion. Earlier in his career, Callum was Head of the TAC Workcover Task Force at the Victorian Treasury.

Harry joined DMP Asset Management’s (DMP) predecessor company as Chief Executive Officer in 2001, before being appointed Executive Chairman in 2014. Harry spent 11 years with Mercury Asset Management managing client assets in London, Tokyo and Melbourne. During 6 years in Mercury’s Melbourne office his roles included Manager, International Equities, Head of Australian Equities and acting Managing Director. In 1998 Harry moved to AXA as Chief Investment Officer of Australian operations. Harry was appointed a Non-Executive Director of SG Hiscock & Company Limited in April 2019.

Adrian DiMattina has 28 years’ experience in the investment industry, primarily gained at SG Hiscock and NAM – where he was a Senior Portfolio Manager, Small Companies and also spent over 10 years in Australian Equities and Fixed Interest at NAM. Prior to this, Adrian worked at the Bank of America, in the Fixed Interest and Money Market departments.

Pam Hauser joined SG Hiscock & Company in 2001, as one of the company’s founding directors and shareholders. Pam is a regulatory lawyer by background, and has more than 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry with roles in legal, risk and compliance. Ms Hauser has previously held senior roles with Macquarie Group, NAB, KPMG, Norwich and Australian Unity. As a Partner at KPMG, she led the firm’s Financial Services Regulatory Group within Risk Advisory Services. She has held legal roles with CRA (now Rio Tinto), Freehills, and Ellison Hewison & Whitehead (now Minter Ellison) and also held a directorship with the Australasian Compliance Institute. Her current directorships include Treasury Corporation of Victoria (TCV) and Victorian Plantations Corporation (VPC) (both state owned entities). Ms Hauser chairs the TCV Audit and Risk Committee and the VPC Board.

Brenda was appointed Director of DMP Asset Managements’s predecessor company in 1999 and of DMP in 2010. Brenda’s career has involved executive and board positions in stockbroking, funds management and investment consulting. Brenda is a former member of the Australian Stock Exchange, partner of May Mellor Laing & Cruikshank and principal of Investment Consulting and worldwide partner at WM Mercer. Brenda is currently the Chair of Aitkenhead Centre for Medical Discovery and a director of SVI Foundation, Clinuvel Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Kimberley Foundation of Australia Ltd, Phoslock Environmental Technology Ltd and SG Hiscock & Company Limited. Brenda was awarded an honorary doctorate from the Swinburne University of Technology in August 2017. In January 2021, Brenda was awarded of an Order of Australia for distinguished service to medical health research, to the business and finance sectors, to corporate governance, and to philanthropy.


John Thomson boasts 28 years of experience in the investment industry. He joined SG Hiscock & Company from NAM where he spent five years as a dealer in Australian Equities. Prior to NAM, John held a number of positions at Potter Warburg Asset Management, Potter Partners and JB Were.

Yasmin joined DMP Asset Management’s predecessor company as Administration Manager in 2002, a role she has continued with DMP since 2010. She has 25 years in the funds management industry with Administration and Marketing co-ordination roles at Mercury Asset Management, AXA and Alliance Capital Management.

Stratton has over 14 years experience in financial markets. Stratton began his career in corporate institutional banking at ANZ before moving into an equity analysis role at Guild Capital Asset Management and then at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Immediately prior to joining DMP, Stratton was at VFMC where he held the role of Senior Equity Analyst focusing on large cap analysis. Stratton holds a Bachelor of Business and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) holder.

Anthony has in excess of 20 years financial services experience and at SGH will be responsible for the National Distribution of SGH funds. Anthony joins SGH after 14 years at Macquarie Bank distributing the Macquarie Professional Series suite of Global Equity Funds and Hedge Funds. Also at Macquarie, he held the positions of National Distribution Manager and Business Development Manager. Prior to this, were Business Development positions with Ventura Investment Management and Advance Asset Management.

Richard is a Consulting Actuary providing services to clients of DMP Asset Management in relation to investment policy formulation and asset liability matching. In the 30 years to December 2017, Richard held several positions with Mercer, including head of investment consulting for 4 years and over 26 years as a consulting actuary to many of Mercer’s largest clients, including corporates, industry funds, public sector and long service leave boards.

Rowena joined SG Hiscock & Company in November 2016 bringing over 28 years of financial services experience. Rowena is General Manager Strategy & Operations and is also a member of the Operational, Risk & Audit Committee. Prior to SG Hiscock, Rowena worked in a variety of senior management roles at Equity Trustees and HSBC Asset Management.

Rebecca has 20 years financial services experience and at SGH will be responsible for developing channel opportunities for the SGH suite of funds and funds available through SGH’s Partnership Program with Morgan Stanley Investment Management and LaSalle Investment Management Securities. Rebecca joins SGH after 8 years at MLC Asset Management where she was the Research Relationship Manager for the MLC Multi-asset suite of products. At MLC Rebecca also held the role of Market Strategy Manager. Prior to this, Rebecca was Head of Investor Relations and Marketing for Ellerston Capital and has held roles at UBS and Macquarie Bank.

Giles Croker has been running the finances for SG Hiscock since 2002. Prior to joining us, he spent 13 years with Coopers & Lybrand in London and later, in Melbourne. Giles is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

David joined DMP’s predecessor company as a Not for Profit Specialist in 2004, a role he has continued with DMP since 2010. In addition, David was appointed Company Secretary of DMP in 2010. At an operational level, David has been closely involved with investments for religious, charitable and philanthropic foundations since 1995. David has also been actively involved in the implementation portfolio management and reporting platforms and has overseen the preparing of DMP’s annual financial statements and has been a Responsible Manager in respect of the company’s Australian Financial Services Licence since it was granted in 2011. From 1995 to 2003, David was Manager – Client Liaison (Charitable Foundations) at Warakirri Asset Management. During this time, David was actively involved in the process which led to qualifying organisations being granted access to franking rebates. David has had a variety of experience with many religious, charitable and philanthropic foundations in the context of investment strategy formulation, implementation and management.

Sarah is the Marketing & Communications Manager at SGH, she joined in April 2016 as a Marketing Coordinator in the Funds Distribution Team. Prior to this, Sarah worked in the Funds Distribution team at Equity Trustees for 13 years. Here, she held a variety of roles including PA, Event Management and Marketing. Originally from Zimbabwe, Sarah moved to London in 1996 where she held a number of positions at investment banks, including Morgan Stanley, before finally settling in Melbourne.

As Assistant Portfolio Manager at SG Hiscock, Malcolm Ellis’ primary responsibilities are the analysis of trusts, portfolio modeling and currency positioning. Before joining the company as a Portfolio Administrator, Malcolm held the position of Assistant Investment Analyst at Meridian Financial – he has nine years of investment experience in his role.

Andrew joined SG Hiscock & Company in 2017 as a Portfolio Analyst. Andrew works closely with Tim Gough, Head of Private Clients and assists the SGH20 team. Andrew joined us from Forza Capital, where he was an Investment Manager. Prior to this, he worked as an analyst in wealth management whilst completing his tertiary studies at the University of Melbourne.

Tim joined SG Hiscock & Company in 2016 – bringing over 20 years industry experience. Prior to SG Hiscock, Tim was the Head of Discretionary Portfolio Management at Deutsche Bank Wealth Management in Australia where he was responsible for both client relationships and managing balanced portfolios across a number of asset classes including equities, property, fixed interest and cash. Tim’s previous roles include Senior Investment Manager at HSBC Asset Management, Institutional Equities analyst at Macquarie Bank and consultant at a number of global financial organisations in London including Salomon Brothers and Barclays Global investors.

Angus commenced his career with McIntosh Securities in 1991. Prior to joining DMP Asset Management in 2016, Angus held several positions within ANZ Global Markets division, including Head of Money Markets for 11 years and Head of Investor Sales. In addition to his responsibilities, Angus also sat on ANZ’s Asset & Liability, Basel III, and the Pricing & Balance Sheet Committee’s. Angus’ previous leadership experience includes management roles and Commonwealth Bank of Australia, and CVC. Aside from his role at DMP, Angus is the Chairman of Down Syndrome Australia and a Director & Trustee of the Lord Mayors Charitable Foundation. In 2014, Angus received an Order of Australia for service to the Community and the Banking & Finance Sector.


Fiona joined DMP Asset Management’s predecessor company in 2008 as Client Administration and Liaison Manager with responsibility for the daily administration of client portfolios, a role she has continued with DMP since 2010. Fiona has worked in various Investment Banking and Funds Management positions with UBS, BBY and Industry Funds Management for over 25 years.


Claire Hughes works part time and is job sharing the Marketing & Events Coordinator role with Sarah Eager. Before joining SG Hiscock, Claire worked in the Funds Distribution team at Equity Trustees for 4 years. Her roles included PA and Event Management. Prior to Equity Trustees, Claire has held positions in recruitment companies.


Rory joined DMP Asset Management in October 2016. Prior to joining DMP, Rory spent three years at Arjent Investment Management, a London based Investment Manager, assisting in the management of client portfolios.

Michael has in excess of 10 years’ of investment experience.

Raveen has over 10 years financial markets experience under his belt in both Australia and Singapore. Prior to his current position, as an Investment Analyst, Raveen was a Portfolio Analyst in Equity Research at River Capital, a Performance Analyst at NAB and an Investment Analyst at the Securities Investors Association in Singapore.

Matthew has in excess of 29 years of investment market experience and will be responsible for the distribution of SGH funds across NSW and QLD. Matthew joins SGH after 15 years at Macquarie Group where he was responsible for the NSW distribution of the Macquarie Professional Series suite of Global Equity Funds and Hedge Funds. Also at Macquarie, he held the positions of Business Development Manager and in addition to managed funds, he also promoted listed equities, unlisted infrastructure, agriculture and private equity trusts. Prior to Macquarie, Matthew worked at Platypus Asset Management.

Mario Saccoccio joined the company in 2011 and brings over 18 years’ experience to his role of Portfolio Manager. Prior to his appointment at SG Hiscock, Mario was a Fund Manager at Macarthur Cook, specialising in A-REITs and unlisted property funds. Before this, Mario held the positions of Investment Analyst and Senior Real Estate Securities Analyst at IWL.

Hamish Tadgell joined us in 2015 from Goldman Sachs, where he was Chief Investment Officer – Australia for Global Investment Research. Hamish’s distinguished career in institutional equity research spans 18 years, during which he has held positions in both Australia and the UK at JB Were and Goldman Sachs. Previously, Hamish spent seven years in professional services at Arthur Andersen.

Roger joined ICE Investors in May 2019 – bringing 17 years’ experience in the investment industry across a broad range of investment strategies and markets, both domestic and global. Prior to joining ICE, Roger was a Senior Portfolio Manager at the Australian Foundation Investment Corporation (AFIC) in Melbourne. Before this, Roger was a shareholder and Portfolio Manager with Ralton Asset Management. His first investment role was with Cinnabar Equities, a boutique fund manager specialising in global health care.
