Stephen has had a long, illustrious career in investment management – spanning 35 years. In April 2022, Stephen was appointed Executive Chair at SGH. Previously, he was Chairman and Managing Director, from the date of establishment of SGH in 2001. Before that, Stephen held the positions of General Manager, Chief Investment Officer and Chairman of Asset Allocation Committee at National Asset Management Limited (NAM). Prior to this, Stephen was Head of Australian Equities and Head of Direct Property at NAM and spent over 10 years at HSBC in Equities and Listed Property Trusts.

Giles joined SGH in 2002. In April 2022, Giles was appointed CEO & COO at SGH. Prior to this role, Giles was Chief Financial Officer. As Chief Investment Officer and Head of SGH Individual Portfolios, Rob has overall responsibility for the Individual Portfolio business and for developing the key investment strategy views for SGH.
His 35-year career in investment management has spanned investment strategy and economics, and has included the management of Australian and international equity portfolios, and Australian and international fixed interest portfolios.
Rob joined SGH in 2024 from UniSuper where he worked in two different roles – most recently as Head of Fixed Interest and Macro Research, and prior to that as Head of Global Equities.
Prior to UniSuper, Rob was Head of Capital Markets and Asset Allocation at Frontier Advisors and before that Rob spent 10 years as Equity Strategist and Australian Equities Portfolio Manager for Colonial First State Asset Management,
Rob holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Arts (Hons) from the University of Melbourne, and a Masters in Applied Finance from Macquarie University.
He is based in the Melbourne office.
Adrian joined SGH in 2001 as one of the founding principals. He is a Director and Portfolio Manager of the SGH Emerging Companies Fund. Adrian has 30 years’ experience in the investment industry, primarily gained at SGH and NAM – where he was a Senior Portfolio Manager of Small Companies and also spent over 10 years in Australian Equities and Fixed Interest at NAM. Prior to this, Adrian worked at the Bank of America, in the Fixed Interest and Money Market departments.

Grant has over 29 years’ experience, having previously worked at National Asset Management (NAM), Victorian Funds Management and Knight Frank. Pam joined SGH in 2001, as one of the company’s founding directors and shareholders. Pam is a regulatory lawyer by background and has more than 30 years’ experience in the financial services industry with roles in legal, risk and compliance. Pam has previously held senior roles with Macquarie Group, NAB, KPMG, Norwich and Australian Unity. As a Partner at KPMG, she led the firm’s Financial Services Regulatory Group within Risk Advisory Services. She has held legal roles with CRA (now Rio Tinto), Freehills, and Ellison Hewison & Whitehead (now Minter Ellison) and held a directorship with the Australasian Compliance Institute. Most recently, Pam was a director of Treasury Corporation of Victoria (TCV) and the chair of TCV’s Audit Committee, for six years. Pam is currently a non-executive director and chair of the Victorian Plantations Corporation board (a Victorian government owned entity).

Brenda joined SGH as part of the merger with DMP Asset Management in 2019. She was appointed Director of DMP Asset Managements’s predecessor company in 1999 and of DMP in 2010. Brenda’s career has involved executive and board positions in stockbroking, funds management and investment consulting. Brenda is a former member of the Australian Stock Exchange, partner of May Mellor Laing & Cruikshank and principal of Investment Consulting and worldwide partner at WM Mercer. Brenda is currently the Chair of Aitkenhead Centre for Medical Discovery and a director of SVI Foundation, Clinuvel Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Rock Art Australia, Phoslock Environmental Technology Ltd. Brenda was awarded an honorary doctorate from the Swinburne University of Technology in August 2017. In January 2021, Brenda was awarded an Order of Australia for distinguished service to medical health research, to the business and finance sectors, to corporate governance, and to philanthropy. Brenda was appointed a Non-Executive Director of SGH in April 2019.
Michael continues to contribute to the SGH strategy on the Advisory Board. Michael joined SGH in September 2009, holding positions of Director and Head of Institutional Sales. Michael has worked in the investment business for more than 30 years and held positions of Executive Director, Head of Sales at K2 Asset Management; Executive Director and Head of Institutional Equity Sales at Morgan Stanley Singapore and Morgan Stanley Hong Kong.

Stratton joined SGH as part of the merger with DMP Asset Management in 2019. Stratton commenced at DMP in May 2017 and has over 17 years’ experience in financial markets. Stratton began his career in corporate institutional banking at ANZ before moving into an equity analysis role at Guild Capital Asset Management and then at Bank of America Merrill Lynch. Immediately prior to joining DMP, Stratton was at (Victorian Funds Management Corporation) VFMC where he held the role of Senior Equity Analyst focusing on large cap analysis. Stratton holds a Bachelor of Business and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder.

Callum Burns has 28 years’ experience in the investment industry and has held a number of notable positions throughout his career. Prior to joining ICE Investors and SGH in November 2005, Callum was the Head of Global Asset Allocation at BT Financial Group – managing $8 billion in funds. Before this, Callum held the same position at Rothschild Australia managing funds of $4 billion. Earlier in his career, Callum was Head of the TAC Workcover Task Force at the Victorian Treasury.

David joined SGH as part of the acquisition of Catholic Church Insurance Asset Management (CCIAM) in 2024 and has over 8 years’ experience in financial markets. As a portfolio manager, he managed the insurance balance sheet assets and asset management client funds with a focus on socially and ethically responsible investing, based on Catholic values.
David began his career as an analyst in NAB wholesale banking before moving to a commercial analyst role at True Value Solar Commercial, where he conducted financial modelling for large scale solar projects across Australia. Prior to joining CCIAM, David lived in the UK and worked as a financial services consultant in Capco and First Derivatives Plc.
David holds a Bachelor of Commerce and a Masters in Applied Finance from Monash University and he is based in Melbourne.
Anthony joined SGH in April 2019. He has over 22 years financial services experience and at SGH is responsible for the National Distribution of SGH funds. Anthony joined SGH after 14 years at Macquarie Bank distributing the Macquarie Professional Series suite of Global Equity Funds and Hedge Funds. Also at Macquarie, he held the positions of National Distribution Manager and Business Development Manager. Prior to this, were Business Development positions with Ventura Investment Management and Advance Asset Management.

Richard joined SGH as part of the merger with DMP Asset Management in 2019. He joined DMP Asset Management in 2018. Richard is a Consulting Actuary providing services to clients of SGH Individual Portfolios in relation to investment policy formulation and asset liability matching. Prior to this, Richard held several positions with Mercer, including head of investment consulting for 4 years and over 26 years as a consulting actuary to many of Mercer’s largest clients, including corporates, industry funds, public sector and long service leave boards.

Rebecca joined SGH in October 2020 and has over 20 years financial services experience. At SGH, she is responsible for developing channel opportunities for the SGH suite of funds, and funds available through SGH’s Partnership Program. Rebecca joined SGH after 8 years at MLC Asset Management where she was the Research Relationship Manager for the MLC Multi-asset suite of products. At MLC, Rebecca also held the role of Market Strategy Manager. Prior to this, Rebecca was Head of Investor Relations and Marketing for Ellerston Capital and has held roles at UBS and Macquarie.

Jessica has over 10 years’ experience in Financial Services, having also worked at BT as a Senior Wealth Consultant & Account Manager.
She joined the team in April 2023 and is based in Sydney.
David joined SGH as part of the merger with DMP Asset Management in 2019. David commenced at DMP as a Not for Profit Specialist in 2004. David is involved in the implementation of portfolio management and reporting platforms for clients. David has overseen the preparation of DMP’s annual financial statements and has been a Responsible Manager of the company’s Australian Financial Services Licence since it was granted in 2011. From 1995 to 2003, David was Manager – Client Liaison (Charitable Foundations) at Warakirri Asset Management. During this time, David was actively involved in the process which led to qualifying organisations being granted access to franking rebates. David’s other experience includes collaboration with religious, charitable and philanthropic foundations in the context of investment strategy formulation, implementation, management and reporting.

Malcolm joined SGH in June 2008. As Assistant Portfolio Manager at SGH, Malcolm’s primary responsibilities are the analysis of trusts, portfolio modeling and currency positioning. Before joining the company as a Portfolio Administrator, Malcolm held the position of Assistant Investment Analyst at Meridian Financial – he has 13 years of investment experience in his role.

Nicole joined SGH as Executive Assistant & Office Manager in August 2022. Prior to SGH, Nicole worked at Cooper Investors in various roles providing support to the general office, People & Culture and Executives for six years.
Tim joined SGH in November 2016 – bringing over 20 years industry experience. He is a Senior Portfolio Manager in SGH Individual Portfolios team. Prior to SGH, Tim was the Head of Discretionary Portfolio Management at Deutsche Bank Wealth Management in Australia where he was responsible for both client relationships and managing balanced portfolios across a number of asset classes including equities, property, fixed interest and cash. Tim’s previous roles include Senior Investment Manager at HSBC Asset Management, Institutional Equities analyst at Macquarie Bank and consultant at a number of global financial organisations in London including Salomon Brothers and Barclays Global investors.

Angus joined SGH as part of the merger with DMP Asset Management in 2019. He commenced his career with McIntosh Securities in 1991. Prior to joining DMP Asset Management in 2016, Angus held several positions within ANZ Global Markets division, including Head of Money Markets for 11 years and Head of Investor Sales. In addition to his responsibilities, Angus also sat on ANZ’s Asset & Liability, Basel III, and the Pricing & Balance Sheet Committees. Angus’ previous leadership experience includes management roles and Commonwealth Bank of Australia, and CVC. Aside from his current role at SGH, Angus is the Chairman of Down Syndrome Australia and a past Director & Trustee of the Lord Mayors Charitable Foundation. In 2014, Angus received an Order of Australia for service to the Community through the Banking & Finance Sector.
Fiona joined SGH as part of the merger with DMP Asset Management in 2019. She commenced at DMP Asset Management in 2008 as Client Administration and Liaison Manager with responsibility for the daily administration of client portfolios. Fiona has worked in various Investment Banking and Funds Management positions with UBS, BBY and Industry Funds Management for over 30 years.
Angus joined SGH in June 2024 as a Client Services and Investments Associate in the Individual Portfolios team.
Prior to joining SGH, Angus held roles as a Relationship Specialist at Vanguard Australia, a Senior Executions Analyst at Praemium, and an Investments Operations Analyst at JBWere.

Igor joined SGH from abrdn, where he was responsible for looking after the abrdn suite of funds across Advisors, consultants and Key Accounts nationally. With over 17 years’ experience in distribution and financial markets, Igor has held multiple Director/Senior Business Development roles across NAB Global Markets, CBA Institutional Equities, AMP Capital and Commsec.

Fiona joined SGH in July 2022 as a Business Development Executive in the distribution team. Prior to SGH, Fiona has extensive experience in developing and managing a number of small businesses online.
Shawn Lee is the lead portfolio manager for the SGH Australian Small Companies Fund, and joined SG Hiscock in April 2023. Shawn is a generalist investor that brings more than a decade of experience covering small and mid-cap companies. Most recently, Shawn was an Investment Manager at abrdn Australia where he helped to oversee the abrdn Australian small companies fund.
Prior to joining abrdn, Shawn spent 5 years as an investment analyst at Adam Smith Asset Management and before this was a small cap sell side research analyst at CIMB Australia. Shawn also held prior roles at RBS and PwC. Shawn holds a Masters of Commerce in finance from UNSW and is a CFA Charterholder.

Jane joined SGH in Nov 2023 and is responsible for providing support for all our clients under the abrdn funds partnership.
Jane has over 20 years’ experience in Financial Services, having joined SGH after 7 years at Magellan as a Key Account Associate within the sales team. Prior to this Jane was a Business Development Executive for Macquarie and has held roles at Pengana, Pendal and UBS.

Phillip Li is a former banker turned Equity Investor. His experience is in investing in Australian equities applying a quality based investment approach. He is maintaining a wide company coverage spanning large, mid, to small-caps and his current sector focus is Real Estate (lead), Healthcare, as well as Utilities.
Previously he worked for ANZ Institutional Bank, National Australia Bank and abrdn before joining SGH in April 2023.

Georgina joined SGH in May 2023 and has 20 years financial services experience. Georgina begun her career as Servicing Planner at the CBA before promptly moving to a Financial Adviser role. After almost 9 years of helping clients, Georgina moved into Product Management roles at Colonial First State followed by Insignia. Immediately prior to joining SGH, Georgina was at Wealth Management firm JBWere, where she held the role of Product Strategy Consultant.
At SGH, she is responsible for the Product Management and Development of SGH’s range of Unit trusts. She works closely with SGH’s distribution and Investment Team, and SGH’s partners and service providers.
Georgina is RG146 compliant and holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne.
Lucinda joined SGH in April 2018. Her previous roles include 16 years at PricewaterhouseCoopers predominantly in Risk, Quality and Governance. Lucinda is a Member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand.

Matthew joined SGH in July 2019. He has over 30 years of investment market experience and is responsible for the distribution of SGH funds across NSW and QLD. Matthew joined SGH after 15 years at Macquarie Group where he was responsible for the NSW distribution of the Macquarie Professional Series suite of Global Equity Funds and Hedge Funds. Also at Macquarie, he held the positions of Associate Director and in addition to managed funds, he also promoted listed equities, unlisted infrastructure, agriculture and private equity trusts. Prior to Macquarie, Matthew worked at Platypus Asset Management.

Daniel is responsible for managing the research house ratings process for our abrdn partnership funds and engaging institutional consultants across APAC. Daniel has over 6 years’ experience in the wealth and asset management industry in Sydney.

He joined in April 2023 after a successful career in abrdn and wealth management group Colonial First State.

Nick is responsible for all the Research house and Platform relationships for SGH. Prior to joining SGH in February 2016, Nick previously worked in the Funds Distribution team at Equity Trustees for 11 years, lectured at Xuzhou University in China and worked at Fairfax’s Business Review Weekly Magazine.

Denitsa has spent the last 15+ years creating and managing content in variety of formats to build relationships for organisations and elevate their brand presence. Denitsa has joined SG Hiscock in 2023 after a successful career in New Zealand in marketing and communications roles at Colliers and NZ Rural Leadership Trust among others.

Hamish joined SGH in July 2015. He is Portfolio Manager of the SGH High Conviction Fund. Prior to this he worked at Goldman Sachs, where he was Chief Investment Officer – Australia for Global Investment Research. Hamish’s distinguished career in investment markets and equity research spans 24 years, during which he has held positions in both Australia and the UK at JB Were and Goldman Sachs. Previously, Hamish spent 7 years in professional services at Arthur Andersen.

Brent joined SGH in 2023 and comes with over 15 years marketing experience across the financial services sector in the UK and Australia. Brent oversees a busy team of marketing professionals who work with the distribution team and are responsible for bringing SGH’s product suite to the Australian market.
Prior to joining SGH, Brent was B2B Marketing Manager at Aware Super.

Roger joined ICE Investors in May 2019 – bringing 19 years’ experience in the investment industry across a broad range of investment strategies and markets, both domestic and global. Prior to joining ICE, Roger was a Senior Portfolio Manager at the Australian Foundation Investment Corporation (AFIC) in Melbourne. Before this, Roger was a shareholder and Portfolio Manager with Ralton Asset Management. His first investment role was with Cinnabar Equities, a boutique fund manager specialising in global health care.
