Delivering Specialist Investment Management Services for Faith-Based Organisations
SGHiscock Investment Management acquired CCI Asset Management in April 2024, further strengthening our capability and experience in servicing faith-based and not-for-profit investors.
SGHiscock Investment Management holds an Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL) and is an ASIC-regulated professional funds management group with a long-standing commitment to managing assets for faith-based organisations.
We design tailored investment strategies and provide specialised services to meet the unique investment objectives, governance requirements, and ethical considerations of faith-based entities.
We offer the Catholic Values Trust (ABN 67 716 279 065) and the Income Trust (ABN 36 484 293 501), both of which are Registered Charities. These trusts are regulated by the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) and are eligible to claim franking credit refunds.
SGHiscock Investment Management has been a signatory to the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) since 2022, reflecting our ongoing commitment to responsible and sustainable investment practices.
Getting Started
SGHiscock Investment Management has developed a Catholic Values Policy that reflects our commitment to integrating Catholic principles into investment portfolios. All investments must first meet our investment criteria and fundamentals before being assessed for compliance with the Catholic Values Policy.
IMAs provide a bespoke investment portfolio solution designed to align with the Catholic Values Policy, while also accommodating each client’s specific ethical requirements and investment objectives.
The Catholic Values Trust is a diversified, long-term investment strategy that delivers socially responsible returns in alignment with the Catholic Values Policy.
The Income Trust is a higher-yielding, medium-term investment strategy that delivers socially responsible income in accordance with the Catholic Values Policy.
Who Can Invest?
The Trusts are available to registered tax-exempt Catholic entities seeking to invest in a manner consistent with Catholic values, beliefs, and principles.
They are designed for investors who wish to access professionally managed investments aligned with Catholic teachings, while also targeting competitive returns over a medium- to long-term investment horizon.
The minimum initial investment is $500,000, which may be allocated across one or more Trusts. Additional investments can be made from $10,000.

Client Service and reporting
When investing in the Trusts, the Administrator provides comprehensive reporting to keep investors informed about their holdings, income, and tax position.
Upon investment, investors will receive a confirmation of investment.
The Trusts are recognised by the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) as providing an investment service for the promotion of religious principles and are endorsed as Tax Concession Charities (TCCs) under Subdivision 50-B of the Income Tax Assessment Act 1997.
As a result:
- The Trusts are exempt from income tax
- Imputation (franking) credits attached to dividends received are refundable to tax concession charities
- Any refunded excess franking credits are passed on to investors as part of Trust distributions
A distribution statement is issued to unitholders at each income distribution:
- Catholic Values Trust: distributed half-yearly
- Income Trust: distributed quarterly
- Taxation Statements
- Each investor receives an annual tax statement summarising distributions paid for the financial year ended 30 June, to assist with year-end reporting and compliance.
Unit holders receive regular monthly updates outlining the progress of their investment.
